OK I just got my 2400 + Mobil the 35watt version to go with my A7N8X-E. The mobo does not know what the processor is but I guess that is ok other than the lowest vcore it is offering me is 1.50 when the default is supposed to be 1.35. Guess that is no big deal as I am pouring 1.575 at it right now. Multipliers are acting weird as well. When I set it to 13x with a FSB at 170 it comes out at 801MHz . Currently I am using 12.,5X 170 and it is very stable . Nothing I have tried higher seems to be yet. What vcore have you guys put to these things I am water cooled so dont see a big issue there with heat. Also anyone know if a newer bios fixes the mobo recognizing the mobile chip? The date on my bios is 8/4/04 so it is not too old. So I am now at 2125MHz some what disappointing compared to some others I have seen with this chip. Any ideas or suggestions? TIA

Visit the ASUS boards at www.nforcershq.com

There is a wealth of info there. (Spire turned me on to these guys)

I'm running the 1013 Uber BIOS, modified by Demoplous (not sure of his spelling). He includes some options that ASUS leaves out.

Sorry I can't tell you about the Mobil CPU.

My XP 2400+ Mobile.
Stock runs 1.8GHz, running at 2.4GHz.

Multi = x10
FSB = 240MHz (effective bus speed = 480MHz)

This done with a voltage of 1.7 or 1.75v.

Memory is Corsair stick I reviewed (2x512 CMX512-3200XL)

Memory SPD:
CAS LATENCY: 2.0, RAS TO CAS CAS: 2, RAS PRECHARGE: 2, TRAS: 5

This done on motherboard: nVidia nForce2 Ultra 400

Chip cooled with bolt on SLK947-U, current CPU/CPU Diode = 39/33 degrees C.

Thanks for the link and the info guys!!!

Guess it is time to put some more vcore to this thing. I might end up flashing the bios but I hate to do that if I dont have to. Wish I had some faster memory I am running 2x512 of Kingston Hyperx PC2700 on my 8RDA+ it maxed out at a FSB of 180MHz
