It is web based IMAP mail, and they have a free account, but if you pay a one time fee, you get access to using your own mail client, the SMTP server, and POP3 retrieval. I use the POP3 retrieval to keep up with several other email accounts, dumping them into custom folders.
I doubt you will ever see hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail, etc, ever move to IMAP, as POP3 works well enough for them not to change it (even though IMAP kicks a$$.) |
