Yea, thats most definitly it. Boot the XP CD, and repair the installation. You'll also have to reinstall sp1 and all the updates, etc, but your apps should be ok.

Damn, when I installed the AMD64 board in this machine, didn't do a reformat (have since) but everything worked great. Was hopeing to have the same luck with the other machine 
Oh well, guess I know what I'm doing tonight.
Doing a clean install doesn't scare me, it's just that I don't know what Apps I need! LOL not to mention my mail file with my reg codes  hehe oh well |

And all of my wifes games and some other utilities.
BTW, so I don't lose any of my software, I just reinstalled the old MB/Processor. Will make the switch next week when I can spend the time to write down things and back it up |
