Hey, I’ve built a few small form-factor systems myself, and the Cooler Master Elite 110 is a pretty compact case for ITX builds. The Biostar H81MHV3 should fit fine, but the key point is that it’s actually a micro-ATX board, not ITX. The Elite 110 supports both Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX, so in terms of dimensions, you’re good—but cable management and airflow can get a little tight in such a small case.
Since you mentioned it’s mainly for Dota 2, the H81 board paired with a mid-range i5 or even a lower-end i7 should be plenty. Just make sure to keep the graphics card size in mind; some larger GPUs can be a tight squeeze in the Elite 110. I’ve had similar builds where I had to check the GPU length and make sure the power supply cables weren’t blocking airflow. Speaking of which, even in a small gaming system, I usually prefer a modular PSU—it keeps things tidy and helps airflow in tight spaces.
Out of curiosity, are you planning to overclock at all, or just stick to stock settings? With such a small case, heat can become noticeable, so it might be interesting to see how well the Elite 110 handles sustained gaming sessions. |
