A new Fry's opened in Concord, CA yesterday. Since this is 3 miles from work, I decided to go check it out...

15 minutes to find a parking spot...

45 Minute wait in line outside the store to get in...

Needless to say, I have yet to see the new Fry's.

I am going to attempt it again, take a sleeping bag, backpack, cup of joe, and a good book, wait in line.

They are almost giving stuff away all weekend, 25" TV's for $99.00, and 80% off of tons of stuff.

This is going to leave a mark... I will report back from my mission later!!! |

I would not mind having that here, or even a best buy.... their prices are like a quarter of what we pay here for stuff. _________________

Yeah it's the border taxes that kill, and the exchange rate. But the exchange rate is not so bad now, 1.3 I think. It's probably why stuff is so expensive to start off with. Stuff that is 50 bucks in the US is about 150 here. 100 if I get it from a wholesale supplier. It really sucks. I'm jealous when I hear of people building a computer for $500, because I build the same computer here but it costs $1,500 _________________
