It looks like the wires are labeled, just make sure they match up to the right pins on your mobo header and all should be well! I have a similar cable with a Mini case, and I think I left that extra wire out too... with no problem!

NC stand for No contact (can also be normally closed on switches and relays)
The ground is a shield ground and is there just in case ofan all plastic case with no other grounding. In most cases it is unused.
