I just bought these off a coworker here in Johnstown. He was needing some money to get a 6" 357mag and a kayak for his grandson, and hadn't shot these in years - so I offered to take them off his hands.
First up is a Rossi Model 720 44special. 3" heavy lug barrel 5shot stainless steel.
Second up is an Iver Johnson Model 55A Target 22rf 6" barrel. Its got some years on it, as you can see with it's patina. Not sure how old it is yet, but it's still tight and bore is great.

Nice acquisitions Knight, I was wishing I had a .44 with me this last weekend when we went camping up off the Denali Hwy. Normally I'm fine with my .357 and 200 gr. hard cast bullets, but it just felt a bit naked this weekend for some reason. Probably had to do with all the 5' high brush we were surrounded by.
Also, you've got to love the old pistols, especially the ones that are still fully operational. _________________

Thanks all!
I think my main carry piece just changed from my bottom feeding brass polluter Walther P99 to the right of the 44special shown above.
I cant describe the fit and feel of it, its like a glove. And its down right purdy!

44 Spl is a nice round for a personal defense wheel gun. However please expand on the P99 as I'm considering one in .40 cal.
Also the IJs were nice paper punchers in their day, should bring years of fun! _________________ As of 02/01/11

Nice suggestions, but...........
The reason for the Walther (or the it's renamed S&W varient) is the "adjustable" backstraps" as I have small fat hands with very short fingers. With the exclusion of the TZ-75 and it clones, the P99 is the only hi-cap semi that "fits". My hands are so small even my fav's, the 1911, grip is too wide. To reach the triger the backstrap rests against the first digit of the thumb instead of the web of the hand. _________________ As of 02/01/11
