Was watching the NASCAR Race (yeah yeah yeah leave me alone I am not a redneck just like racin) I did a few chores around the house and now am having worries about my monitor going south. It has just shut down 3 times this week. This time I had to give it a good rap on the side of the case to get it to come back on.
Just got back from movie Euro Trip. lmao
Im going to be a roadie/stagehand this coming weekend for a concert. I have a E-Drum kit to work out the audio mix on.
busy busy week.

Took friday off to finish the furnace install...
Found out around noon friday our 12KV Cogen power plant for my refinery was coming back on line and managed to enter the system out of phase with PG&E (electric utility around here).
Needless to say, you can't do that sucessfully... The entire refinery went into emergency shutdown flaring, imagine dumping something like 200 million cubic feet of hot high pressure (1800 F and 2100 LBS), hydrogen, propane, methane, and all the other hydrocarbons to 5 huge flares all at once. Our doomsday flare hasn't been in use in almost 20 years... it sure did come to life Friday. Flames reached 130 feet in the air pouring smoke the whole time...

Actually, PG&E was the only saving grace in the entire event... It was our Cogen plant coming online to match PG&E that caused the issue. If the 83 MEGAWATTS of power we pull from PG&E would have also gone down due to the phase difference also, we would not be making any gas what so ever, for a long time!!!
BTW EC, did you notice the 10 to 20 cent jump in gas prices since friday afternoon??? This my friend is no coincidence. Fill up Monday morning, its gonna go up even more!!!
A day late here but I'm just killing time till I head to the airport in JAXS ... got an 8 hour flight back to Cali. Got my mp3 player loaded with some good music so I'm ready for the flight

OOO Just frigg'n great!!! Guess it's going to top $2.00 a gallon. Those $#&@ thief's.
Hopefully you don't mean the gas stations... I know a guy locally (TN) that owns a station and he makes $0.1 per gallon. One of the times I was there, he was on his way out to the sign to up it $0.3 because his supplier just upped his price.
My dad owned a station in the '70s and made $0.5 gallon, or at least thought he did... _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger.
