I recently figured out how to use this stuff on my Tivo (not new or hard to do, I just installed Galleon and configured it). I never new how big a deal this has become. There are literally 1000's of podcasts out there and it's pretty cool. I'm still working on the videocast, but I can easily see both of these along with internet radio taking a significant portion of my TV watching time away from actually watching network/cable programming. This does not bode well for the networks or cable shows, although my cable/internet/phone provider sure looks to make a nice profit because I had to upgrade my bandwidth to 7Mbps and unlimited usage. Smile They are also coming sometime this week to switch my phone service over to digital via the cable coax, so I'm excited to see how that's going to work.

Anyway, I guess I was sleeping when this whole podcasting thing started, because It's a lot bigger and cooler than I had thought it was.

Yea, I actually enjoy some of the video podcasts. Think I'm signed up for about a dozen now. Yikes

Thats funny.. they couldn't hack it with their own equipment.. now they are going to use an IBM standard which is x86 in the flavor of an Intel processor. And IBM is Gate's "daddy".

Looks to me MS ultimately wins. lol

Not only that, but OSX is actually faster on an Intel system. Guess that answers the age old question and really makes the "G5's are the fastest cpu's on the planet" crowd look a little silly.

Fact is though, that if Steve Jobs ever gets a clue and offers just the OS for x86 w/o having to pay a 25% premium for Apple branded hardware, I'd buy it in a second.

prolly not...macs have a different cpu cycle rate and i am not sure if the processers they will be using will be to those specs...i am not sure what x86 implies as far as cpu cycles...
