No surprise to me. I use Open Office, so I'm ok there.
I refuse to buy a legit XP because of the activation garbage, I have a legit 98 and 2000, but I will not buy XP. And I guess when 2K is outdated (isn't it already? ), I'll either be running a pirated corp edition of the newest M$ O$, or Linux only.
I already use and love Linux, so the only problem is a few appz I have that I need Window$ for. _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger. |

I'm getting into Wine and it's wonderful ability to use Win32 apps in Linux. Plus, companies like Disney have forced Adobe to port Photoshop to Linux too! Because of M$'s unruly behavior, Linux is getting better and more mainstream. GO US.
This is especially good timing because I'm burning Mandrake 9.1 CD2 now. _________________

I like it much better than RedHat, who makes the Gnome and KDE desktops almost the same. Plus Mandrake has the most and best software... IMHO. _________________

Well... I never tried anything else... As a Linux ultra-noob, it was easy enough for me to install... even got on the intarweb, and networked with my MS based comps, too!! |

SuSE really isn't much different than RedHat. They're both targeting commercial server applications. The main difference is their color is green
Slackware is hardcore. Talk to Shrew at FOC about that. He uses it on one of his boxes. _________________
