AMD needed something big to compete with Nvidia this generation and they got it with the R9 290 series. The new “Hawaii” graphics processors are able to stay neck-and-neck with their GK-110 counterparts and the only inherit flaw is the GPU takes a large thermal solution for it to run optimally. XFX’s new Double Dissipation design is able to cool the GPU with gusto, thus taming what AMD could not. hardware-360.com |
