| AMD needed something big to compete with Nvidia this generation and they got it with the R9 290 series. The new “Hawaii” graphics processors are able to stay neck-and-neck with their GK-110 counterparts and the only inherit flaw is the GPU takes a large thermal solution for it to run optimally.
