That seems like it will work for a decent oc. No push pins and four heatpipe AND $10 is a must get.

Installed it on my mobo last night and I'm one happy puppy. Temp dropped by around 10c to low 40s, and ramped up to 60c under load. Previous to this my procs were doing 49c idle and reached 69c when gaming. Mildy OCd it to 3Ghz, but I usually do 3.5Ghz when gaming.

I really like the mount better than push pins, even if I had to take out the mobo.

Best part is the VRGuard is very silent even when then fan is doing 2500rpm Smile

I'm really glad it worked out for you, what's your VID under load when you're gaming?

I just ordered a Scythe Mugen 2. Although the price went up $4 it was still only $36.99 w/ free shipping. I haven't read anything negative about it other than it's large and heavy, but that's to be expected if it holds a 120MM fan.

I checked with CoreTemp, VID is 1.2v. CPU-Z reports the same volt Smile

That's a really good VID, you could do some serious overclocking with that chip and cooler to get some serious performance from games!

Looks like I'm too late, but I would have recommended the OCZ Vendetta for my Q6600. I picked it up a few weeks ago for $30 ($20 after mail in rebate) it and it easily outperforms an Arctic Freezer 7 pro.

Was able to boot to 4Ghz and did a CPUZ screenshot, but immediately after, Windows froze.

I'm thinking I need a better RAM at 1066 speed to really get stable at 4Ghz. I upgrade incrementally so an OCZ Vendetta or Xigmatek is definitely a plan for me Smile
