Hiya.

Firstly i would like to say that im ddnt know where to post this question so i hope here is the right place.

My question is: can the blades of a fan be removed (and putted back) from the fan frame?

I was thinking on buying some uv paint to paint my boring-noisy black vantec tornados and painting the blades of one colour and the frame of another so they could look cool in the window of my case.

Can it be done?

thanks in advance

I'd just buy fancy fans. Most fans do not come apart... well, they might, but good luck getting them back together.

While certain models can be disassembled, like these:

I wouldn't recommend it for anything but cleaning. You might mess up the balance or the tolerance with paint.

Yeah, I agree, adding paint isn't a good idea. Besides fans really aren't that much and so much variety.

Regarding those Enermax fans, they are nice that you can remove and clean the blades, but you may crack the fan like I did. (after review)

I know it can be done, my friend has done it in the past for a case mod. As to how easy it is, I'm guessing there's a pretty good chance of breaking it taking it apart or flat-out not being able to get it back together. Probably depends on the fan, like the above said as well.
