External Features... The Front (continued):
Although you probably can't read it, this sticker describes what the dial on the front of the case does. By turning this dial 1/4 turn clockwise, while the side panel is in place, the side panel will now be locked into position. If you want to keep people out of your case, you can close up the case, lock this knob, then lock the front of the case using the keys. Ideal if you have issues with the security of your systems internals.
Each fan mount on the front of the case attaches via one screw on the right, and two clips on the left. Once removed, you have a metal frame, a white plastic dust filter, and a black plastic frame that clips the filter to the metal frame.
Fans mount to the assemblies using fan screws (not included), and pop back into the case easily. You could probably get away without fastening the fan to the metal frame because it is a tight fit, but screw holes are provided in the frame and might as well be used.
The Top:
The top of the case has a nice feature that incorporates a 80 mm exhaust fan with an access panel for a few useful connections. Pressing the lip on the front of the access door provides access to a Firewire port, 2 USB ports, a microphone jack, and a headphones jack. I have been using the USB ports regularly, and appreciate the convenience it provides for using my Crucial Gizmo! USB flash drive.
The Bottom:
The bottom of cases aren't all that exciting, but this one has 4 feet that can provide more stability. Turn the feet in if you don't have the floor space, or click them into position as pictured to prevent tipping.
The Back:
The back of the case features a few more of those instructional stickers, as well as tool-less mounts for two 80 mm case fans, and a detachable power supply mount.
The PSU mount is detachable, and accommodates standard ATX format power supplies, as well as mini redundant PSU’s.
