View Single Post - Are dead/lit pixels a defect?

I have read reports of people being able to fix "stuck" pixels on their LCD's, but was unsuccessful in my attempts.
I think depending on the location of the stuck/dead pixel, one would be too many for me too. Over the years I've had a couple monitors that had 1 or 2 pixel issues, but they have all been off to the side or bottom and not very noticeable. If the pixel is in the middle of the screen it would really get to me. Since it's only a day old, I would take it back and see what they say.
