Its all about user interface and software...

If there were the same applications/games available for Linux as there were for Win - Linux would take off. Being able to walk into Walmart, Staples, Office Supply, or EB like 99% of the PC users do and find programming for Windows is why people stick with it. That same 99% or higher of users also need to have the easy interface of Windows because they dont know how to recompile kernels, or do even simple tasks of uninstalling a program(even in Windows LOL).

If all I ever did was surf pr0n, do email, IM, and spreadsheets - well Linux would be perfect. ...but without all of whats available for Win32, Linux will take a back seat to MS's spawn.

I pray for the day that Linux and Windows are on equal ground, I'm about sick of the bullcrap that these new licenses require from MS.
