More than likely you have (2) 512MB sticks in it. You have to buy (2) 1gb sticks. sell off the 512mb sticks if not needed to recover some of the expenses.
If your lappy is slow, I'd look into what is slowing it down. Dell, like most OEM PC builders load the machines full of so much crap that they act like a Pentium 75mhz running full visuals Windows XP Pro and Doom 3.
Kill all the crap that starts up with Windows. ALl those automated updaters, Quicktime, Realplayer, any instant messenger, etc.. Run them manually when needed. |
