What your going to do is forward the port via your router, not your modem. To access to router settings, simply type in http://192.168.1.1 , and if your router is similar to my linksys, leave the username blank and the pass will be 'admin'.

From the router configuration page, you have two options. You can either put your computer into DMZ, or you can forward the correct ports to your specific IP address.

You'll want to forward to your internal network IP. Chances are it will be 192.168.1.2 or 192.168.1.3. To figure it out if your unsure you can check the hosts table in your router settings or simply go into command prompt and type in "ipconfig". I don't recall exactly where in the router settings you'll find port forwarding, but it should be labeled rather well, just surf around.

DMZ is the equivilent of forwarding all incoming requests to your computer, and I'd advise against it. It leaves your computer at a lot more risk, expecially if your not running a proper firewall/anti-virus. BUT, if you can't seem to get your port's to forward correctly, it may be an option for you. Last option, however, in my opinion.
