Good point Knight, but it is nice to have a car that you do not have to check everything over every time you go somewhere. I have a 2004 Saturn VUE that is not that expensive to buy. I got mine for $19000 Canadian (so that's probably $10000 American  )Its an economical 4banger that gets around 34-36MPG. The peace of mind knowing that the better half with the kids should have no problems on their commute. (I get the older SL2)
