alright i figured out why it wouldnt turn on and i actually got everything to turn on.
but another problem occurs (theres always a new one right after tha old one...)
everything turns on and i can get to my BIOS. i tried running XP, but then it prompts me on how i want to start up windows (you know, safe mode, safe mode with networking, start windows normally, Last Known Good Configuration) and at first i tried start windows normally.
i waited a few seconds then tha screen went to black, then for a split nano-second it went to that blue screen of death and then quickly rebooted itself.
i then tried Last Known Good Configuration and same problem occurs. then i tried General Offical Way to Clear Cmos (which can be found here: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.php?p=224470&postcount=837 ) and i follow all directions and load optimized defaults. i then try with Start Windows Normally but same problem still happens. i then try my other options such as Safe Mode and Last Known Good Configuration.
still not working.
any ideas? i think ill have to reformat, but i hope not |
