My host "suspended" the site for what seemed like an eternity over the last two days, for what they claimed was a script utilizing too many server resources. When they finally leveled with and told me the actual script that did this, I nearly laughed out loud...
I have an application that only does one thing... count the impressions of the Logic Supply and XP Cases ads on the main pages. Somehow this simple script that has been installed since June got out of control and was on the verge of crashing the server (dual Xeon 2.8Ghz processors and 4GB memory).
I think I need Fox Mulder to get to the bottom of this one... Sounds suspicious to me. I think Google and my host are in cahoots, actually!!  |
