You know what it was? This happened before, but last time it was thePMG's fault (or was it wsm)? One of those three letter dudes...  - anyway:
Any thread Dud3! had posted in bogged down because he has his signature and avatar hosted on a dead server! The pages here wouldn't load until the requests for his images timed out!
People.... just host your images here!
