UPDATE...
Seems as if the previous owner got this motor hotter than I thought.
The machine shop tells me the crank, rods, and block are all good, but the aluminum heads might have suffered from some serious heat.
He is doing a final cleaning and will begin measuring and checking them out closer monday...
This could add a minimum of $600.00 for another set of rebuildable heads to the project. |
