I'm confused, how's a machine shop going to convert it to a 347 stroker?

It's a 350 right now, I would like to know how ANYONE could destroke it to a 347...

I toned down the final build to be just better flowing heads, a moderate cam, balance, blueprint, and bolton parts.

Didn't want to deal with the KAlifornia Smog nazis, and the value of the car will not imporve with tons of motor work.

I will get it back to flawless and then decide if I want to keep it.

It should be worth 9k to 10k and my investment will top at $4500.00

This will be my 5th build, 3rd SBC.

I said after the 4th I would never do it again...

But this car fell into my lap and had a blown headgasket.

$2200.00

I know the owner, I was with him when he bought it new, and it has been garaged all its life.

Oh and it is #1652 of 2410 built, makes it a bit more worthy of my treatment!!!

People like you make people like me jealous. I want to work on my 76 El Camino so bad, but I don't have the time/money to do so.

On another note, glad to see someone building some american power vs the craptastic 4 bangers.

That year + was waiting for time/money...

I had the motor pulled within 2 months, just got to tearing it down a week ago!!!

So I hear your pain Mad

It took just shy of 3 years from the time I retired my '79 bronco till I had the motor back in it.

347 as in ford fiveohno, it was a joke. And taking that 350 down to 347 would be easy, shave the heads or change the pistons.

Anyway, video of it running! Laughing
