| Hey everyone. I got a wifi question for you. I helped install a linksys router with wifi for this guy. (the cable company was making him use 3 modems! yes that means 3 IPs!!! anyways we installed it ran the wires for the 2 office computers. then got the wifi on the laptop working. Well we did encryption and MAC addressing only to secure it. that worked fine. Then restarted the laptop and we decided to take off the encryption. Well when we did that the laptop sees the router but the signal fades in and out and it connects then disconects. and contues to fade in and out. (when it is less than 3 feet away) anyone got any ideas? me and my friend are scratching our heads. even with default settings it seems to fade in and out. any suggestions? |
