You need to see if the iPhone already has an iTunes account linked to it. If so, it will be slightly more difficult to get it working with iTunes.
Though, I'm pretty sure that you can just install iTunes, plug in your iPhone, then when it prompts that you're using it on a new computer, just allow it to reformat the entire iPhone. Unless of course you want to keep your songs and videos or something.
iTunes should automatically update its firmware to the latest one.
And yes, if you're looking to jailbreak and/or unlock the iPhone, you shouldn't use iTunes at this point, since Apple would try to prevent it from doing so. |
