Hi... and welcome!

What were you using to monitor temperatures? Those actually sound low (although quite possible).

What kind of cooling?

Other than heat, my other instincts are to look at everything being seated/connected properly, and that the software/drivers are right.

Does this crash happen in all games? Or just one?

Do you have all the latest drivers for the system, vga, etc?

I'd try powering off and reseating the video card. Also, make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. And the problem I had recently which I had overlooked was my DirectX level, if your unsure whether or not its up to date, just windows update it.

Windows Update Linkage

Shouldn't matter, but when someone says 768Mb of ram that tells me they most likely have 1-512mb stick and 1 256mb stick (or 3-256mb). If this is the case, chances are they aren't all the same spec, so maybe, just maybe you might see an improvement if you try just one stick of 512mb or 2-256mb or whatever.

Other than that, I would agree with the above and try to re-seat everything, make sure your drivers are up to date and check to make sure you don't have any misbehaving programs running in the background.

might be the temp...circuit boards develop problems when they are outside of their regular operationg temperature...doubtful but worth a shot to close the window...however i have had my processor that low outisde and got some cool screenshots but that was all i didnt load the cpu by playig games...

it is not the temp ive tried everything with the temp cause everyone keeps saying try your temp try putting it beside the window the temps are average when not beside the window 25 - 35 C sometimes it goes to 40 when i play games so im assuming its not the temp.

and i think its like a otimpix or something like that im not at home at the mo but i think its a cheap one but its 400w but i tired my old dell one and it still didn't work ill try and get you more info on the powersupply when i get home.

Trying an old dell one probably wouldn't be an improvement from your cheapie 400W one Smile
