Well, there's the problem! Get a DFI motherboard. Laughing

Seriously, though, you might try a prime95 torture test, a 3dmark06 benchamark and memtest to ensure that all your components are functioning properly.

If your video card is a SLI, you may need a amped up PSU like a 500 watt or higher. You might also double check to ensure that you have all your power leads in place; my DFI uses the 24 pin, the 6 pin flat mobo, a 4 pin 'intel style', and then another standard molex PLUS a floppy drive style power connecter. It's no wonder why I have a 600 watt PSU. Even with all that, I still look at my voltages and keep an eye to ensure they are within specs.

Also, with your RAM, if it's mismatched, you may run in to issues. You could try running with one or the other stick out of the box and see how it performs (ie, locks up). Memtest would also show you some good details.

In any case, best of luck. It's really difficult to assist people in a remote location. No doubt that if I had the system on my desk, I could diagnose it in an hour as could most of the others on the forum, I'm sure.

I'd be willing to bet that your power supply isn't giving you clean voltage and is dipping to unnacceptable levels.

If its not the power supply dropping the voltage i would look at your drivers. try a clean set of drivers and run again. I had a 6600GT that would crash during any DirectX game, but would run older games like CS just fine, and it was driver related.
