I have just decided that maxtor is my favourite hard disk manufacturer, and will gte plenty of free advertising from me.

The reason?

Well, you may remember a little while back me blowing up a hard drive. I RMA's it, and the replacement came today. Except, it wasn't a direct replacement - instead of the 120gb diamondmax 9 i was expecting, it was a 200gb diamond max 10! All is good Grin

but... how long is the warranty? I'll let Seagate's 5-year warranty keep sending me the same size drive... if it ever becomes necessary. Meanwhile, I have had 3 Maxtor's die in the past year, and no Seagates.

Maxtor has long since had good customer service... just their drives are slower than dirt.
