Hey,

Every time I reboot my machine, the background picture that I have is switched back to the WinXP default one, and it switches from Classic view to XP view (with the ghey green start button).

I've found a temporary work around for this problem (don't reboot the machine...heh), but I can't seem to figure out what is causing it.

Any ideas?

Yes, my personal one. I could understand if it was at work and I had installed a script that kept chaning things back to default...but I didn't do that (that I'm aware of!).

Things I can think of:

1) Check for Spyware/Viruses
2) Make sure your home directories didn't accidently get marked as read only
3) Log in as admin (if your not already)
4) Check the Group Policies to make sure it didn't some how get changed to not keep setting changes (use gpedit.msc).

It was set to read only, but I haven't a clue why. Also, I just uninstalled StyleXP (forgot it was installed)...one of those two things should fix it, I hope. Thanks EC
