I have one of these nForce2 Ultra 400 boards that has been pretty cool since I bought it in September... I had it overclocked before at 200 MHz fsb, but didn't keep it there long... but it worked fine.

Last night I was running PCMark04 on it when it froze up... when it booted up again it said it was actually a XP1250+ with memory at 100 MHz (200 DDR)...

So, I went into the BIOS and all the settings were correct, and I rebooted... Same thing... still said 1250+. WTF?

So, then I cleared the CMOS for a while, came back to boot up and now I have nothing!! No beep, no post, nothing but the fans spinning and the drive leds lighting up!

Swapped in different ddr, disconnect/reconnected everything, and nothing changed.

If I take the ddr out and boot, it will beep, and gives the long beeps that indicate memory issues. Weird...

Anyway... Anyone have any ideas? I have already filed an RMA request with Shuttle, and may do so with Newegg (if necessary)... And in the meantime have already ordered an identical replacement from Newegg (off their refurb page)... Bang Head

When you cleared the CMOS did you unplug the comp and hit the power switch, then move the jumper for about five-ten seconds?

If not, you may have damaged something.

Never heard of that, and don't think its the case... I jumped it for 10 seconds put it back and had the 1250+ still, so I flipped the psu's switch off and jumped it again... that is when I left it over night and came back the next day to nothing!!

I now remember why I told myself not to OC that board... It has all the site stuff on it, all my e-mail, all my docs, files, etc... Bang Head

Never heard of what? I'm guessing you mean the power switch thing, that's just to drain the PSU as an added precaution. Most manuals do (or should) say to unplug the PSU before clearing the CMOS, and leaving the jumper on overnight is NOT necessary and may even be bad.

Doubt I could... Can't see a thing on the screen to get that far!!

And I have never heard any of the stuff Dud3! is mentioning, and have sometimes heard the opposite. Plus, I have 4 mobo manuals here, and none mention disconnecting power (although I like to when I touch anything in there).

OK......I went back and re-read your post where it says after sitting all night........>>NOTHING<<

Do you have an old Mobo with the same BIOS chip, you could try switching them and see what happens.........Altho, if your gonna RMA it, you may not want to try that!

No Trek... I don't have one.

I am not sure why I went to Shuttle first on the RMA... I probably would have had the box out the door to Newegg already if I asked them, but instead I have no response from Shuttle at all... Confused

But... at least the replacement I bought from Newegg will be here tomorrow.
