I had used a Thermalright SLK-800U on my XP2800+, but my new board doesn't have the through holes to mount it... Used to get temps in the 35C range at idle with it. Now I am using a one of the basic Speeze coolers I reviewed, and it idles around 55C!! Eeep!! The sensor on the board might be off, but digital thermometer measuring the top of the heatsink still shwos temps in the 40s...
Anyway... I want a high performance, clip on Socket-A cooler for an XP2500+ or 2800+. Will trade my SLK-800U, or Paypal for the right unit...
- Thanks! |

Hmmm... I've read about that Evercool unit. I hear it could be good, with some modding...
And, the SLK-800A is my top choice, because I liked the U so much, and they're only $27ish at Jab-Tech... If I can't strike a deal with someone, I may buy it... |
