Aww, so cute! Laughing

Built two identical systems, which are being put through the paces to be eventually used for some hosting.

Other than the color, they are identical, with:

Intel D510MO Mini-ITX Motherboard: http://www.mini-box.com/D510MO-mini-ITX-Intel
Seagate Momentus XT 500GB Hybrid Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148591
Kingston 2GB (2x 1GB) PC2-6400 CAS 6 DDR2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134487
Mini-Box M350 case: http://www.mini-box.com/M350-universal-mini-itx-enclosure
Mini-Box PicoPSU 80W power supply and external power brick: http://www.mini-box.com/picoPSU-80?sc=8&category=981

Nearly solid state - only the traditional portion of the drive is moving. May add some fans though, but right now they are 100% passively cooled.

Decent power for hosting... The Atom CPU may be only 1.66GHz, but is dual core and has hyper-threading so there are four logical processors to use.

At full power each uses around 30W (20W at idle), so only about a 1/2A draw combined.

And, there small enough to hide anywhere, or fit both into a single rack space.

Jason, how would that Momentus drive stack up against a 3.5" Caviar Black? I know it beat a 5,400 RPM drive but what about a 7,200 RPM one?

I'll be pulling those systems apart soon to add fans, and I'll run some new benches then. I don't have a Caviar Black, but I have some 7200RPM Seagate and WD drives.
