The faster you get it there, the faster they will get the new one to you.
I have had them turn around a replacement very quick. They open your box, make sure its all there, stick a new one in the box and do the Fed Ex super saver 2 day back to you. Figure a week depending on how you ship to them.

I've found that NewEgg's turnaround is within 2 days of receipt of the DOA product.
They definitely do NOT repair anything. They exchange it all, when you select RMA Repair. _________________ If you don't have to wait on glow plugs, it ain't a real truck!

I found out today that my Camera (new one) has been shipped and SHOULD arrive on Friday.
SO WHAT HAVE I LEARNED???
I've learned:
1. It is NOT the fault of newegg.com that a new Nikon camera was faulty!
2. Newegg.com HAS honored its policy for replacement (though its not in my hands yet).
3. In my eagerness to get my new toy, I paid an additional $15 for 2 day shipping to me....then, paid another $25 to ship it back. (for another $20 I could have walked from work at lunch time and bought the same camera from a real live person......could have taken a defective camera back to that same real live person and had the replacement camera in my hands the following day, if not the same day!!) (And saved myself a LOT of GRIEF!)
What will I do???......................
I'll continue to use newegg.com for SELECTED purchases. Items that can wait (relatively speaking) on FedEx.
Items that are higher priced will be weighed at length as to weather I should purchased locally or on line.
BTW... Thanks to all who gave advice and tried to settle my concerns about newegg.com's business practices. _________________ Two wrongs don't make a right!
But, three lefts do!!
thats how you should do all online purchases trek, the big stuff i really care about being able to open and being able to easily return i pickup locally....
and paying to have something rushed never has worked well for me (from newegg anyhow) _________________ - Jim
Why rush when it only takes two or three days anyway? Only thing to rush would be overnight. _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger.
