Nice review of the fan! Smile

However I'm still wondering what I should buy. BTW what's the model of the Papst fan you have?

If possible can you run both fans at identical RPM's or try to as close as possible and then measure the noise and airflow from there?

I'm really trying to narrow things down to the best noise:cfm ratio and it's either Papst or Acoustifan. If both fans were to run at identical RPM's and blowing the same amount air which fan is quieter?

At the same RPm, the noise diff is negligible, but the AcoustiFans are quieter. If you have a fan controller already, I would get some faster fans, and throttle them down.

I will check the Papst model soon... Just got back from a trip and don't feel like digging, which also explains my delayed response....

Thanks for posting, and welcome!

Thanks Big Bruin. Well I have been doing a little research and read about some of these Acoustifans and the life span on them may not be too great especially under warmer conditions where the life span will shorten up so I decided to order Papst fans.
