Fact - Deer are America's most deadly critter. More people are killed by deer each year than there has been by bears, mountain lion, dogs, coyote, wolf, snakes, or bison individually in the last 100 years. Deer average 160+ people a year. Bear and mountain lions each total between 120 to 140 over the last 100+ years.

And people wonder why I carry guns.. lol

I got my antlered and antlerless tags ready for next week... death to Bambi's parents!! And if I can get out again on Friday, Thumper might get murdered too!

You put in the right context........Bambi! Disney and others have given animals human emotions and issues leading the anthill types believing it.

One needs to learn that now we're invading their turf, there is danger when they feel endangered or the territory is "traspassed".

While I don't hunt, I don't knock others that do. Just eat what you take and don't do it just for the "trophy"! Wave

Right on, jedi..

Hunt for food. ..not trophies. The only critter I dont eat that I shoot are groundhogs, I do that for making pastures and fields safe for farm equipment and cattle legs.

If I get both, a buck and a doe, this year I plan to donate one to a local food bank. I still have to pay for processing, but our local butcher is a drop off center for the charity banks.

And yes again, humans are moving more and more into the natural habitat of the wild animals. Incidences will happen more often.. But too many people get the romantic movie notions that they are all friendly like in the Disney movies. Just look what happened to that folk-singer up in Canada a month or so ago who was all into nature - she got killed by coyote(s).
