Anyone use one of these? The big concern though is the old system he wants to use is really that OLD!!!

ASUS 52X CD-ROM - TDK Indi DVD+880 DVD+RW

I've noted the primary concern as I've read about the drivers not even want to play with mass strorage devices! _________________ As of 02/01/11

I haven't heard anything like that on a more recent system (yeah - I am calling his recent)... But it would be annoying if it didn't work.
Is this for file storage or to switch to for his OS, etc? If just for storage, what about a USB drive?

File storage as in pictures, vids, music, and semi-business files. He currently has an 80GB IDE for OS. _________________ As of 02/01/11
