Haven't seen a DFI board in ages, but they have a cool looking x58 mATX unit...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136066

Unrelated, but saw this while browsing just now... 7 16x PCI Express slots...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131390

(physically, not all electrically)

Yikes

Uhh, yeah...that DFI board is also in the original post...what's wrong with you guys, did you miss the red links????

Also, that ASUS board is INSANE! First non-server I have seen with a SAS controller.

Anyways, back to the topic...I will wait until the ASUS mATX board comes back in stock, and see what eVGA's mATX board looks like. (Hopefully within a month or so)

In the past noticed the egg will use "deactivated" to mean out of stock. While a mATX nut I run in AMD circles so can't help ya there! Your current case choice looks good........ Wave

I know you want to use your existing 800W OCZ power supply, but it just seems like it is going to be an overkill for the type of system you are building, especially with the limited expandability of a small system and as you have mentioned the long cable lengths. You might want to look for another 80Plus PS in the 500W range for the best power efficiency (usually close to 50% of the PS' rated power) I have seemed OCZ that can had for $40-$50 after rebate and you could save this much in electricity in 3 years with the more evenly-matched PS to your system power consumption.
