I was wondering if anyone knew any good mics that can connect to a PC. It needs to be high quailty. I don't know what his budget is so anything around $100- $200 would be my guess. But If you have a suggestion out of that price range just post it anyay.
Im not sure if he has audio editing softwear so suggestions for that softwear would be great too.

Any regular mic will work on any computer sound card's mic input. However, since you mention music quality, I think it would be best to look for a mic with built-in USB interface ($200-$300) to the computer or get one of the Shure USB mic signal adapter ($129) with a regular high-quality microphone.
