I also think that the Q6600 will give you the best-bang-for-the-buck. I have a G0 Q6600 which is currently overclocked to 3.2GHz. So even if you plan on overclocking, you can usually highly overclock those Q6600 (as long as you have proper cooling for it).
If you have the extra bucks, you can't go wrong with a Q9650, which will be more than enough, till the prices of i7-based system will drop down a bit. _________________ Intel Quad-Core Q6600 G0 @3.4GHz (8x425)
