Hi,

I purchased Core Contact Freezer and I'm planning to buy normal CM 690 cabinet with two 120 mm fans on the left side because I don't prefer transparent side panels.

My questions:

(1) Will I be able to install the side top fan (120x120x25) after installing CCF? Will CCF obstruct the fan on the top?

(2) Is it possible to install CCF in Intel DP35DP motherboard - http://www.intel.com/Assets/Image/prodlarge/dp35dp_lg.jpg

Regards,

Hi - I would wonder if that motherboard's big chipset cooler would interfere with the CCF Cooler when oriented to blow toward the back of the case. I guess you could turn the CCF 90 degrees and have it blow toward the top of the case.

As for a stack up height in your case with side panel fans, it is hard to say. I have never used either of those products, but do know from other similar setups that it can be tight. Worst case, you just leave the case side fans off... With good airflow in the front and back you may not even miss them!

I have a 690 and it would probably be pretty tight with the side fans. I don't use either of the side fans on mine. Instead I have 2 front and 1 bottom intake fans and 2 top and 1 back exhaust fans so I have a nice consistant air flow through my case. I haven't tried it but I have read the side fans disrupt your air flow. If you want a measurement from the motherboard to the side panel let me know and I can measure it.

Just by looking at the pics, I would say that neither the Prolimatech or the CCF will fit the first mobo unless you install them to blow vertically.

From looking at the second board, I would think the opposite to be true. You would probably have to install the cooler so that the fan is blowing horizontally.
