Im new at this folding thing. How long dose it usually take to do one unit? Mine has been going for about 45 min and its only done 9 frames out of 400, this is going to take a frickin long a$$ time.
let me calculate it...
9/45=.2
.2*400
Confused 80min maybe cant do math but it seems to take a long time

Hi xtremewaianae... Welcome! Wave

Its normal for Folding to take a while to get through a full work unit... and its all based on your processor speed! What are you running? I haven't really paid attention to mine, but the AMD XP2800+ and Intel P4 2.6C I have running each take a little bit less than a day (on average)... But, there are also different types of work units which all take different amounts of time to run...

Welcome xtremewaiane, some of us have been folding for several years (off and on at various times and with different teams).
I had an old Athlon 900MHz that took about a day to complete a work unit, but as BB said, they all differ: some take only 3~5minutes to complete a "frame" while others may take 45~50 minutes a "frame".

Take a look at this "Point schedule", it shows what each WU is worth in "credit"(thats the points you get) and how much time each WU is allowed to take (but understand...the # of days allowed is for someone that ONLY folds while sitting at their computer, they turn it off when they go to bed/leave the house.....)

Welcome to the club and don't get discouraged. Wave
