Well I figure with 0% down,.... why nott pay liek 200 a month and get a ebast fo a machine. I have the 2400 in cash btu why not just have some fun and improve my credit score as well.
So i figure i will go all out for a change...
As far as motherboards go, i don;t overclock, but i want soemthign that can handle some good speeds and will be reliable. I know Evga is a good company and reliable so i figured i;fd pick them up. DFI had way to many options i never even began to touch.

I'd need alot if i deced to sli both 280s so i figure instead of spending 200 on a 900 watt, go for this one and not have to upgrade later..

I have a 80 gog raptor, 2 120 IDEs (will use them for external storage) 2 250sata, and 2 500 sata. I liek my space and have my drives pretty much set up i am just egttign these for extra storage which belive it or not i need as i buy my games off direct 2 drive and it would be ncie to install them qquickly from an extra hard drive, rather then the DVD's which eem to ahve been hurt by my old burner.

When i build a machioen i usually build it, and forget abotu ti for abotu 2 years. so yea. i usually pend aroudn 1-1500 bucks and conabolize old monitors and such from the old machine, ram and some other parts, ven a case. My curerent problem is that i think i just want to start fresh and its lookign to cost em a ton in doing so.. _________________

i7 is going to be expensive for a while, though! Looks like a good CPU and motherboard combo.
If you are not overclocking, maybe just get PC3-12800 (1600MHz)... You'll save money and will probably have the same performance.
What about a CPU cooler? Modulok has that motherboard (I think), and not everything fits in that canyon of heatsinks on it well. Don't use the stock Intel cooler, but also look around to see what fits in that space. I think he has a Thermalright Ultra 120 - great cooler, and it fits!
That case is crazy! I like it! optical drives on the side, though?
Skip that slot cooler, doubt you would need it with your setup!
That PSU is nice, but probably overkill (for a while). Even if you only rolled back to 1000W, you would be set for less money.
I also agree... 1x GTX 260, since you can always add another if you think you need it! |

The main idea is in that post. If you search for something on live.com - look for the little cash back symbol. Not just on eBay, but all over.
I got a case on eBay that got 30% back... and just bought some brake rotors elsewhere that qualified for 5% back. |

cpu coolers i have no idea.. I have a fatality in my old 1 its awsome, the zaleman... btu the fataility 120mm fan was actually cheaper then then zailman it was modled after and the faitality had more copper. So as far as cpu coolers i have no effin clue.
So whats good ram at that speed? I like patriot and one of the reaosns i liekd it is because they said the motherboard was very picky and people had bought ti with that ram and it worked fine.
Its one thing to buy the parts... its another to make the damn things work and work together.
And the only reason i am lookgin at that expensive of a motherboard is that if i get the Evga card i figure it will work better. Dumb idea but il'd liek this sytem to last a while.
I have never had a top of the line systemt hat i could really see some highly impressive graphics with.
And if someone knows of a case that is big, aluminium or maybe any material but is big and has good air flow let me know. I am havign trouble justifyign 499 dollars. And anotehr reaosn iw as thinkign fo gettign that 1300watt PSu was beause with a combo deal that psu and the case togterh is 150 bucks off... not alot, but its a decent amount, a 15% discount on the 2. _________________

The kit you linked in the first post was also 2x2GB... |

i know they were all 4 gigs total. I am really really slow. I just made a mistake in my head thinking 4 gigs total and multiplying ti by 2 to make 4.... Somehow it made sense when i first typed it.. i promise...
ok so theres some slight savings. Hows the priocessor? Cause i have uused a amd 939 cpu now for about 3-5 years. And intell i hear because fo the 45nm is alot betetr, less heat and all.
Also any CPU coolers you;d recomend? Because that mobo is desined the way ti is i don;t think the kind of coolers i am used to will sit there...
Oh and i appreciate all your help and insite, just been a long week.. a never ending week... lol _________________
