Is it just me or have you all noticed the prices of cases and powersupplies have gone through the roof in the last year or so?

There was a day when the case and PSU were the least expensive items. ...now they compete with highend video cards for the top dollar position.

$150-300 for frigging cases? $150-300 would buy you a double sided Codegen server cube just a couple years ago and still have $ left over for a couple(or more) power supplies.

Oh, just noticed this too... Enthusiest mobo's well over $200, closer to $250-300.. ....wheres the second CPU socket for that price? WTF?!

At least on the bright side - RAM, CPU, HDD and VGA prices are dirt @ss cheap for what you're getting.

I have an Antec 900 case that was $100; didn't seem that expensive considering it has 9 bays and a zillion fans....

I agree... I think I have brainwashed myself, too. I don't think I would ever spend over $100 on a case or PSU a few years ago, and now it seems like that is the low limit for something good.

If only video cards would drop to the rock bottom prices of everything else...

Stop buying top of the line cases and they'll cease to be so expensive :-) (Or shop around for a good deal)

Did you ever think for a second that you'd see a production case prised at $1,200.00?
The CSX stuff looks awesome but who' buys a case at that price?
