If you're a Firefox user, the new version 3 finial has been released this morning.

Quote:
The official release of Firefox 3.0 is still a few hours away (that’s due to happen at 10.00PDT today) but the final build of Firefox is now available for download as long as you know where to look for it (clue - look here). I’ve grabbed my download and carried out a few installs and I’m ready with some initial thoughts.

IMPORTANT: Downloads from FTP server and direct links will not count towards the Guinness World Record attempt for the most software downloads in a day. If participation in this event is important to you, wait for the official release.

Not a big fan of it thus far. The address bar autocomplete is way too bulky imo, seems to lag down my laptop quite a bit. Hopefully theres a way to change it, haven't had the time to look into it yet, though. Also had a friend complaining about being stuck in an endless crashing loop with it.

Might be a good idea to stick with FF2 for a while.

Great.... FF is already starting to make it on my endangered list. Only reason it's still not extinct is cause of a few good plugins.

Not really... IE seems to be faster now, but it doesn't have the plugins that really help make FF more secure. Safari sucks, never cared for Opera, and they have compatibility problems anyways. Everything is built for IE & FF now.
