Crude went over 135.00 today...

However, one of the off brand stations in town did actually go down yesterday.

I am predicting a drop in cost by August but I don't think we will ever see under 3.25 again.

It's kind of interesting listening to some of the people in the know and the many things that affect the price at the pump.

One of the biggest right now is indeed the value of the dollar.

It would almost be worth buying a tanker of $.17 gas in Valensuela (sp) and divvying it up amongst friends and families.

Apparently we (Americans) drove 11billion less miles in March than we did the year before. A 4.3% decline which was the sharpest decline ever measured (measurements began in 1942 during the height of WWII and rationing).

I find it extremely ironic that here in Alaska we actually produce about 1/8th. of the entire US supply of oil and have the highest gas prices despite only having about 1/400th of the US population. Our governor is talking about distributing $1.2 billion in energy relief to the residents when she should actually be looking into building another refinery to lower costs or investing the money in alternative energy sources.

Wonder how many people will know where that's from without looking it up EC...

That's one of the documents that militias like to point toward. Especially where it states the citizens have the right to abolish or alter the government.
