But... at least we're talking about what Bush is doing right or wrong as it relates to his job!! The whole time we had Bubba Clinton in office there was no time for political debate because you had to worry about his sexual indiscretions, conflicts of interest, lying, and so on...

Although most only remember him getting it on with Porky... Bubba had his one military actions... Overall I think "botched" would be a good word to describe them, though...

Why dont we abolish the political party system we have. People just voting for Dem or Rep and not looking at their abilities, credentials, or moral standings is what is screwing all of us.

Ultimately, we are responsable for happens right or wrong. We're the ones that blindly vote for someone just because he/she is a Dem or Rep. Probably 98% of the voting stock is guilty of this.

Then once in office, the two major factions bicker between themselves-screwing us once again. Making change or law that suites their fancy instead of ours. ...wasting our time and our money fighting amongst themselves.

Have you even noticed a judge thats advertising his polictical allignment? If so, dont vote for the @sshole. They are supposed to be neutral. ...doing that would make a good first step in turning things around.

NA, I don't think anybody here has refused you your right to your views, or to express them! In fact, I belive many of us would fight (and in fact did) for you to have the right of free speech!!!

That aside...

I was totaly PO'd to hear that the $87b was GIVEN to the Iraqi people. This is a country that is sitting on one of the LARGEST oil fields in the world. If they would only get their heads out of their A$$'s, help fight/remove the insurgents that are helping to keep them living in stone huts.

YES, I do belive that money could/should have been used here at home (where chairity begins), to help home/feed the homless (including veterans), improve medicare, school systems.....
Heck, it could have helped some states that are going (or have gone) bankrupt feeding, clothing, providing medical care...to all the ILLEGAL ALIENS that are in this country with their hands out, scarfing up all they can get ON MY HARD EARNED WAGES, while I strugle to pay the bills.

There is a lot Trek says that I totally agree with... Being in Ca, where it seems that illegals have more power in our government than do legal citizens... I get VERY upset.

I have mixed feelings on the $87billion. I do wish it had been a loan, and my "knee jerk" reaction is the same as your guys reaction. However, after thinking about it for a while... I hope that money is actually part of the old saying "You have to spend money to make money"... In other words, we give Iraq this money now, and when the new government is in place, they "owe" us. And will give us more access to their oil, hopefully outside of OPEC too.

Only problem with my theory, is my other theories... "Just because you help someone, doesn't mean they won't kick you the first chance they get." Only time will tell.

And NA, While there would have been some sort of WW in WWI & II, if we had step in the fight years earlier, 100's of thousands of civilians and soldiers would never have died. The atrocities against the Jew's, and others, would never have happened.

I know about the wars my grandfather being a vet from WWII, he would never speak of his war days, so I knew what he had endoured had to have been bad. What every president seems to be missing is the fact we need more industry in teh US, in every town of every state. Forget about the lazy assed people who dont want to work, what about those who do, but cannot find a job because there is no industry, especially in our high tech fields. That money could have helped a great deal get more high tech industry in alot of states. And as I see it we shouldnt be in war right now, Clinton should ahve done his d@mn job, I never did like him either. I just want one that can really use his head and bring thsi country what it needs, and I am sorry but NONE of our presidents ahve done that. Alot of my family are WWII or Veitnam vets and I see there pain everyday especially the ones from NAM.. and I see our Veterans NOT getting what the need, nor deserve and it pisses me off, knowing this, and knowing we gave 87 billion to a country we destroyed for a good reason.. *sigh* You would be amazed as how many vets I acutally work with that are drug addicted as a form of self medication cause they cannot afford the perscription meds, ior they just want to forget what happened during war.. breaks my heart!!!

His sexual indiscretions were not the business of anyone but himself, monica, and mrs bubba, until the rupubicans decided to make it a public issue, in trying to keep them discret he made a serious error in lying about it to congress

his conflicts of interest are minuet compared to Bush's "nothing is too good for my business buddies" (note not all business is benifiting, only select sectors)

Plus Clinton is done, out of office, finished.
It's a crude diversion to say 'Bush is great cause he's better than the last guy' (which I doubt)
No different than NA saying voting for
anyone else would be better.

I wonder what the people involved in Whitewater would say........both the dead ones and the ones that served time?????

Only one is out of office.......I'd be concerned about the other one if I were you!

Oh yeah....lets ask the people from Arkansas what they think of the Clintons.

Unfortunately we seem to be given a choice of "the lessor of two evils" any more (hey... wonder if I should run??? Nhaa... I'm the greater evil...).

Bush was NOT my 1st choice. I wanted McCain. Or heck, I think Powell would make a great choice too.

My opinion is that Bush is a much better Pres than Clinton. At least he has believes that he stands by... well I guess getting your d!ck wet is a belif...

I would just like to say that we as normal civilians have no idea what all goes into the decisions that any President makes. There is a ton of stuff that goes on that has a great deal of influence on any decisions that the Presidents have to make that we are not aware of or have privilege to. It is all to easy to use hind sight and criticize their decisions not knowing all the facts. As far as I am concerned the worst President we have ever had is far more intelligent than most of us, he has to be just to have been able to get to where he is. I am not saying they are perfect or always make the right decision. However I dont think that most or all of us are in a position to proclaim them stupid.

I stand by Optimus Prime in 2004. Seriously though, I will NOT talk politics because I believe very strongly in my issues and I've made enemies of friends because of it.
