Ah ok, so you increased the FSB in one big jump... Wait a sec though, I said that I was surprised you couldn't' get to 3.0GHz but the E2200 uses a x11 multiplier right? Scratch what I said as 11x266 is almost 3.0GHz Duh

Thats what I am waiting for also. Go cheap and overclock the heck out of it.

This 2180 is 10 x 200 for 2.0GHz default.

I went straight to 10x 266 for 2.66GHz.

Then tried to go straight to 9x 333 for 3GHz and failed.

Needed the rig up and running for other stuff and had to stop...

I understand how that goes.............. Grin I only have one rig running right now as well, but I'm trying to get a second rig together so I can play a bit more with OC'ing and not have to worry about messing up a work rig.

Your OC is pretty good. I'm running at 2.7 Ghz at 1.4V as well. It's an E2160 tho Grin
I got it to run stable at 2.5 Ghz at 1.09V too. Really good processors

Here's what I got out of my old E4300 (1.8 GHz stock), this was 4 hours Orthos stable. I'm sure it would run longer, but I didn't have the time to let it run................ Grin

That was the best chip I've ever had to date.........Wink
I figure the new ones should clock something like the old ones.

This is why I'm wanting one of the new low-end Wolfdales.............Wink

Just trying to keep the thread alive .................Grin. As Doctor Feelgood seems to have way to much on his plate right now to clock his system much right now. I hope he gets some time soon as those chips are pretty darn nice OC'ers.

I'm running a bit of water cooling on my rig, as a matter of fact, I haven't had a air cooler installed on either of my C2D's at all.

For $130, I got my bro one of those E2180 and a TRUE 120 and oc'ed to 3.0 GHz fully stable and with load temps of 55 C at the maximum. These E2XX series processors offer an awesome bang for the buck.
