Oh, that's a good point. I'm not sure either. I used to frequent their forum, but haven't really checked it out lately. _________________

I've got my kill-a-watt meter and my entire folding rack pulls 570W (while folding with monitor on). Not bad for 3 q6600's an e6550, monitor and network switch. equates to about $50/month at 11.9 cents a killowatt. Currently the only system with a video card is the e6550. It's also got a hard drive and is running winxp so I can monitor my production via fahmon and smb to the 3 quads. _________________

Hi
I just installed smp beta client for F@H, and now wonder whether it is possible to somehow set it up without the need for password?
"Problem" is that i dont use password when i login to windows. I simply have my account set as admin and thats it. I dont like that password message to popup at every boot...or at every wake up after screensaver jumps in,etc. So now i set password just to be able to install this client...but would really rather not see that password there.
So is there a way to bypass this or not? I tried with empty password field, but no go...
Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks Crisis,
but after an hour spent for this...i decided to leave everything as it currently is (and hoping and praying that Stanford UNI will soon release the latest gpu version of their client...then these password problems will be gone forever...cause i'll switch to gpu version asap.
I tried first option...unchecked what you said...then logged out of my admin account....and try to login again....andddd....nothing....still wanted me to enter that damn password...crapppppp...
I didnt have time to install TweakUI...so i skipped that one...
And regarding last answer....I didnt have that option there at all (on resume password protect)!? Did you mean "on resume display welcome screen"? Because i unticked that one and problem with password entry on resume was gone. (I know that i saw that "password protect" in the past at some screensavers...so maybe all doesnt have that option there)
So to sum it up...what i would like to do...is to have my (main and only one) admin account as it was before i started using F@H SMP Client....so without any password anywhere...I boot...and voila...I am in....no username entry...no selecting of account....no password...nothing.... But sadly...this smp client doesnt seem to work without that account password!? "Blank passwords cannot be accepted" or something like that is the message that is shown when i try to leave password field empty (at running install.bat of F@H Windows SMP Client V1.01).
So is there some simple workaround or not? Any ideas anyone?
And Thanks once more for your time and help Crisis.

I'm pretty sure there is no work around for the password requirement. _________________

Nope, farm is down. Apparently my youngest son unplugged it lastnight so he could plug something else in...............................
Unfortunately I'm away at work so hopefully my wife will be able to get things up and running again. Since they are just motherboards, I had to explain the concept of shorting the two power pins together to start them up, we'll know if she was able to figure it out in a few hours. _________________
